I've mentioned before this blog was created to make money. And one of the quickest way to find out what's available out there is to check out other people's money-making blogs.
One of the many blogs featured Blogsvertise, an internet advertiser similar to PPP, and I decided to sign up. Here's how it works:
1. Upon account approval, Blogsvertise assigns topics/tasks via e-mail to registered members.
2. Bloggers then write an entry in their respective blogs about the company any way they want (love it, hate it or simply dunno about it). This first post has to be linked to the website at least 3 times.
3. In return, the bloggers gets paid through PayPal per blog entry for writing about the featured advertisers' websites. $$$ is paid to bloggers after the blog entry is approved and the payout period has passed.

Why I Want To Eat At Fridays?
Malaysians are known for their favourite pastime (eating). Just look around any town, any village, any nook & corner, and you're bound to find somebody eating something.
The best part is when someone else provides free meals. This is highly evident especially when some big shots hold open houses during festive seasons. Thousands would throng the VIPs' homes/designated locations and eat their fill. I'm sure if we scrutinise further we'd find some tar pow-ing free food for later consumption.
So, being part of Malaysian society, I can be guilty of the same when free meals are provided. I'm so looking forward to the free dinner at Friday's. Pick me! Pick me!

Post-Holiday Stress Syndrome
My short holiday to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah was thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing so much so that I'm now suffering from post-holiday stress syndrome.
The first night we spent staying up late at a local pub called Upperstar. It's quite different from those I've been to - free Wifi & flatscreen desktops with internet connection for patrons!
On the second day we went snorkeling at Manukan Island. The boat ride bothways were choppy and really nauseating, but they were worth it. I had fun swimming & snorkeling in the open sea, whereas my other half drank his fill of salt water!
We attended his friend's church wedding on the 3rd day. It was a traditional Catholic wedding with proper attire & protocols to follow. Once married we all adjourned to the groom's house where we were treated to lunch & dinner. About 500 guests turned up for dinner that night, and the groom treated all of us from KL to a special homemade alcohol concoction (some rice wine) in a porcelin jar. Each of us took turned to down mug-sized volumes of this concoction - it was quite potent & the guys got high quickly. In addition there were freeflow beer and whisky. The night ended when the WAGs drove all drunkards back to our lodgings. Sabahans drink alcohol like water... they were still standing whereas us normal mortals have tipped over.
On the 4th day, the whole gang decided to visit Mt Kinabalu. All of us did not anticipate cold weather and were dressed in t-shirts, shorts & slippers. After spending a couple of hours in the van, we reached the base of the mountain. We decided to have lunch at Balsam Cafe as it was raining and wind blowing & howling. Once the weather cleared, we drove to the base point to look see look see. Instead of the highest peak in the region, this is what I saw:
We're thinking of another holiday to Sabah. Why not?

The last day was spent spending money at a local seafood store where fresh & deep frozen abalones cost RM45 each, medium-sized King prawns cost RM39 per big packets, 50 sen-sized scallops cost RM25 per big packets etc. I think the uncle behind the counter made a fortune from us!
A short comment on our low-cost carrier & LCCT. It was my first time flying AirAsia after the airline changed its fleet to the new Airbus A320. The planes I got on were clean and comfortable (perhaps the chair reclination could have gone lower for better comfort). And I felt safer flying with AirAsia than MAS - maybe something to do with how their pilots land the planes. No major complaints from me thus far.
We're thinking of another holiday to Sabah. Why not?
